Testa Sensei is a Member (N 69) of the list of authorised Okinawan karate instructors (teaching abroad)
of the
Okinawan Prefecture.
He holds an Instructor licence in Karate by the Amateur Martial Association (AMA affiliated with
Karate England -WKF). Moreover He does not only train  in Okinawan Karate but cross train in Muay
Thai and Jeet Kune Do.
He is an Instructor of the
Self Defence Federation-UK, led by  Dave Turton  (8th Dan) a UK self
protection Legend. This organization trains in REALISTIC street defence.

As a hobby
,  Sensei Testa is a Certified Fitness Trainer and Sport Nutritionist and a level 3 member of
the
UK Register of Exercise Professionals

Studying Karate also from a sociological perspective; He decided to know more about Okinawan karate
(the ancestor of modern Karate) and he was fortunate to meet Hanshi Koei Nohara, chief instructor of the
All Ryukyus Fullcontact Karatedo Association (Okinawa-Japan). From this experience he understood that
studying Okinawan Karate was crucial to comprehend the original essence and meanings of this
extraordinary martial art.
Testa Sensei had the honour to be introduced to the Seibukan style (Kyan Chotoku lineage) of karate by
Kyoshi Jamal Measara,famous karate and kobudo master, well known Okinawan karate historian and
researcher; 7th dan Seibukan, 6th dan Matayoshi Kobudo, 6th dan Aikido;Chief Examiner and Instructor
for Europe of the
International Okinawa Shorin- Ryu Seibukan Karate and Hanshi Zempo Shimabukuro’s
direct student and one of the few non-okinawan master being admitted to the Okinawan Karate
Commission (Okinawa-Japan) to preserve the original Okinawan karate teachings and culture.
Testa Sensei will always be in debt for the generosity of
Kyoshi Measara in sharing knowledge on
Okinawan karate.
In 2005, Alberto Testa was accepted by Hanshi Kenuy Chinen in the World Oshu Kai Okinawa
Shorin-Ryu Karate Do Kobudo Federation (W.O.F.). WOF has direct and clear lineage to Anko
Itosu-Chibana Sensei. Hanshi Kenyu Chinen (Okinawa-Japan) is one of the few disciples of the
legendary Shugoro Nakazato and Katsuya Miyahira Sensei. Testa Sensei goes regularly to the
European OshuKai honbu dojo to train with Hanshi Chinen..
Alberto Testa has studied several styles of Karate among these Goju-Ryu (he attended several stages led
by Shihan Giancarlo Barbin Italian Goju-Kai  representative. He studied Shotokan with
Sensei Fabrizio
Castellani (6th dan) obtaining shodan. Sensei Castellani is one of the top shotokan Italian stylist; he is also  
director of the A.K.S.
Alberto Testa (3rd dan - SanDan) is a sociologist (research interests: sociology of deviance, Political
Sociology,Socio/Historic aspects of Sport and Sports Law);he works as a full time
Lecturer in Social
Sciences of Sport at the School of Sport and Education at Brunel University-London UK and he is also a
PhD (Doctoral) candidate in Sociology (Sport).
